I’ve had many favorite sci-fi authors over the years the years. Off and on over the past few years, I’ve been reading a lot of short story anthologies, liked some stories but didn’t follow up on seeking out more work. Octavia Butler stands out for me. I’ve read a couple of Kim Stanley Robinson’s books. No, no definitive favorite.

Wish that Octavia Butler had lived to write more. The Parable series was so darkly right about our world.
