Good for you, Tim! Trying to stay present certainly isn't helped much by setting artificial deadlines for things. There are enough deadlines already. Wishing you a merry Christmas and very happy new year!

Thanks, Nancy! We need deadlines for some things, but trying to regulate your life down to the second is too much stress and I think a lot of people are causing their own unhappiness under the guise of being productive. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, as well!

I totally agree with you about checking out of social media! I’m checking in on my goals to what worked and what didn’t especially around my goals of being the best human I can be, and hopefully it flows into the work. Wishing you well in your end of year endeavors!

Thanks for your comments, Indigene. I really try to be present with social media because you can get sucked into so much negativity and just losing time that could be spent in better ways, in general. I like social media for a lot of reasons, but establishing some boundaries for your mental and emotional well being is key.

Yes, checking in on your goals periodically is a great way to maintain focus and to see where you might want/need to do next. As long as you're not bashing yourself for not having done something. That's where I think people get tripped up; setting goals and being too hard on themselves when their own expectations aren't met. I wish you well for your end of year endeavors, as well!
